Delmarva Panel System

Equipped and Engineered to Handle Higher Wind and Snow Loads!

Built Like Trusses! Unlike traditional pole buildings, NO NAILS are used to put together the frame of a pole building built using the Delmarva Panel System.

The Strongest Pole Buildings Anywhere!

There is a reason that wood-framed roof trusses are assembled with metal plates rather than nails, the same reason we use TWO metal plates at EVERY connection on our side walls and roofs. Don’t take our word for it, just ask any engineer!

Metal plates have integral teeth and are designed to laterally transmit loads in wood. They are also known as stud ties, metal connector plates, mending plates, or nail plates. Our plates are pressed into the side of the timber using a special gantry at our facility. As the plate is pressed in, the teeth are all “driven” in simultaneously and the compression between adjacent teeth reduces the tendency to split.

Typical pole buildings use these types of plates on their roof trusses but that’s where it ends. With the Delmarva Panel System, we not only use metal plates on our trusses but also on all sides and roof of the pole building. Every time two pieces of wood connect on our panels or trusses, there is either a 3″ x 6″ or a 8″ x 8″ metal plate on both sides of the connection.

We Use RSS™ Rugged Structural Screws Instead of Nails

A
RSS™ Rugged Structural Screw is a heavy-duty flathead wood screw. We use these lags to connect wood to wood at ALL header locations and also to fasten our pre-fabricated panels to the poles. They are far stronger than nails and meet all code enforcement requirements.

Using RSS™ Rugged Structural Screws creates a strong header and fastening system on our Traditional Pole Buildings and makes it possible for Premium Buildings with the Delmarva Panel System to be easily disassembled for resale and/or relocation of your building.

What's In Your Pole Building?

Which Pole Building is Stronger?

This says it all! Which pole building would you rather have? We are by no means implying that a traditionally built pole building is bad or unsafe. Our Standard Model buildings are built like any other traditionally built pole building, the same as they have been built for decades. We operate from a simple methodology; “Good”, “Better”, Best”! Our Standard models are “Better” than others and our Premium Models, which use the Delmarva Panel System are the Best”.
